(Open to the public.) Meet the leader in the parking area at the main entrance to look for spring wildflowers and birds. From London, take Fanshawe Park Road west to Poplar Hill Rd and turn right. Continue north to Ilderton Road (County Road 16) and turn right. Continue northeast for 1.5 kms to Quaker Lane, and turn left (northwest). Continue about 1 km to the entrance at 327 Quaker Lane. (Nature London members only.) A Spring walk to view the property and enjoy the beautiful spring flowers. A good opportunity to look at labelled trees and plants and maybe identify new ones. This hike requires sturdy footwear. Walking poles would also be helpful. Meet at Cedarcroft. See map in the Cardinal for directions. (Open to the public.) Meet at the parking area on Plover Mills Rd, just east of Valleyview Rd before you get to the bridge (southeast corner of Valleyview Rd and Plover Mills Rd). The 911 sign reads 16608. We will walk south along the Thames Valley Trail through fields and woods, looking at late spring flowering shrubs and trees, and birds. (Nature London members only.) The weekend will be spent visiting a variety of sites on the Bruce Peninsula, looking for spring migrants and resident species. Participants are to book their own rooms. Please check with the leader regarding accommodation alternatives or to join the group for only the birding parts of the trip .
