David Joly’s photo field guide to Asters and Goldenrods of Ontario is the result of over 10 years of field work and research within the 5 forest regions of Ontario in search of these plants. A total of 34 species, 2 varieties, and 6 Species at Risk are presented with over 250 colour photos capturing asters and goldenrods during winter, spring, summer and fall seasons. Distribution maps, seasonal status charts, habitat, propagation, cultivation and a binomial key allow easy reference based on visual characteristics and habitat. Professionals, novice and gardeners would benefit from owning a copy of the Asters and Goldenrods of Ontario.
